It has come to my attention that a quite a number of people have read 'The Proposal', this is in fact quite a surprise for me personally and I would sincerely like to thank you all for taking the time out of your daily lives to read my work.
You may notice that, unlike other blogs, this blog is not a daily memoir of one's personal life on the internet. The ignorant (in my opinion) expression of 'philosophical' passages and statements of life and love adolescent asian girls and boys enjoy showing to the their peers, the attempt to show off their 'wisdom' if you know what I mean. Many of whom are no more than 2 years older/younger than me.
They do it because deep down they're empty, they want to tell people "I exist" "I was here" "I want to be heard". What's even more funny is that when you generalise this and consider our entire species as a whole, it's a pathetic pattern of thought when there are so many other higher order things to think about. I know many of you reading this are trying to relate it back to yourselves, perhaps even saying "That's not me" or "You're wrong". But deep down you know the truth, either that, or you don't know anything about yourself.
Do not however mistake me for saying that the group I just described are pathetic people. Though it may strongly imply that, I'm merely remaking on the sad nature of our collective human psyche (well a specific group to be honest) The inability (perhaps influenced by what we are exposed to, i.e., the media [or rubbish asian adolescents are exposed to or choose to watch]) to engage in higher order thoughts like why true freedom and equality can never coexist, instead we're more interested in the admiration of singers and movie stars. We look up to them and even try to be like them even though they're the most unintelligent people in the world (even ignorant), only puppets and dolls. It's rare to find people mention great thinkers, policemen, doctors, teachers, people who try to make the world a better place through self-sacrifice when you ask them "Who do you admire?" anymore, instead you get answers like "Nicholas Tse" or "Sammi Cheng".
It is said that people are saddened by 3 things: the self, the world, and the future. For me, it truly is the world. I hope that by reading this, you may wake up and reflect on it.
But in lieu towards a more important note. Despite so many people that have read 'The Proposal', not one (except for one, you know who you are and I thank you) has given me a reply about it, not even the one bit of criticism that I so gratefully request or hope to recieve.
I don't know why so many people didn't reply, perhaps it could be the fear of being seen is ignorant or being wrong (I'm not judgemental by the way), perhaps you were too busy to think about it, or maybe perhaps my work was too ignorant to be worthy of comment/criticism.
But it's still not too late to post comments up btw, I still need feedback. I need to be proven wrong. It hard to find people philosophically able enough to have a nice discussion these days anymore.
Anyway, I'm going to post up some pics to brighten this page up. Too bad I that I rarely take pictures tough. I'm still requesting photos from friends/family which may take a while.
